5 Dog Friendly Restaurants in Houston
If you’re anything like me, there’s nothing I love more during the summer than sitting out having a nice meal and drink with my dog at my side. While Houston is one of the top cities for dog owners, not every restaurant with a patio is dog friendly. This list features five dog friendly restaurants in Houston.
1. Barnaby’s Cafe
There Barnaby’s Cafe locations in the Heights, River Oaks, Museum area, Midtown, Downtown, Fountainview, and Spring Branch. Those with outdoor seating gladly welcome dogs. I’ve personally gone to the Midtown and Memorial Park locations, both of which had out door seating. The midtown location even has a menu specifically for dogs and offers dogs a treat for dogs.
2. The Burger Joint
Another favorite dog friendly restaurant is The Burger Joint. There are four locations throughout Houston in Montrose, the Heights, Baybrook, and Kirby. I have visited the Montrose location on multiple occasions and found it to be an idea dog-friendly restaurant with great service and plenty of shade and space from other patrons.
3. The Pit Room
The Pit Room is a barbecue restaurant with locations in Midtown and the CityCentre area. However, the Midtown location is the only one with an outdoor patio.
4. Kirby Ice House
Kirby Ice House is another restaurant with outdoor seating that welcomes dogs in Houston. They have locations in Montrose and West Houston. Both locations have a large backyard with a menu that features food trucks, local beers, and cocktails.
5. Lost & Found
This midtown restaurant also allows dogs onto their deck. Lost & Found is popular for it’s vibe, brunch menu, and cocktails. Be sure to make a reservation beforehand as it can be crowded.
Considering adding each of these restaurants to your list to visit as spring and summer arrive and you’re looking for somewhere to hang out with your dog while enjoying a meal.
